CATCHER DAY is a day of training for baseball and softball catchers; 

three different sessions for three different experience levels; Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.

INTRODUCTION to CATCHERS FUNDAMENTALS.

An Introductory one-hour clinic with the focus on basic instructions and training (KISS). Instructions for the beginner catcher (softball and baseball) who wants to ably perform, get better... build a foundation to expand, improve and grow. Each technique is demonstrated, then drills are presented to reinforce each skill...

CATCHER CLINIC: Three Skills & Drills... RECEIVING, BLOCKING & THROWING.

Start: 11AM End: 2PM

A comprehensive 3-hour clinic; one-hour each of basic training in Receiving, Blocking, and Throwing; with emphasis on instructions, training and activity. Instruction begins with the BASICS, then ADVANCES based on the group's experience to relate game-like situations. Each technique is demonstrated, then drills are practiced to reinforce each skill. The pre-payment of $135 provides each catcher with two complimentary eGuides on catching (over 55 pages); BASEBALL CATCHERS GUIDE (courtesy of Baseball-Catcher.com)... and a copy of eGuide; Advanced Catching Techniques.


CATCHER POPTIME: Evaluations, Analysis & Instructions.

Start: 2PM End: 4PM

POPTIME Evaluation and Training:

  • Each catcher will be take 5-10 throws; analyzed and measured (Before)

  • TRAINING SESSIONS on receiving, transferring, and throwing; stressing/ practicing proper footwork & arm mechanics

  • Each catcher will be take 5-10 throws; analyzed and measured (After)

Each catcher will receive an emailed Evaluation report; analyzing strengths/ weaknesses and recommendations, including the before/ after release times.

PopTime is comprised of three components; release, velocity and accuracy.
